There has been a high volume of correspondence regarding plowing snow in the community. Please note that plowing streets in the community is not under the scopes of work for the HOA. But, if there are funds that can be allocated to street maintenance, then it is a project that may occur. In observance with the 2011 Budget Overview, the HOA is currently able make arrangements to have the major approach roads and entry ways plowed.

If you have a specific concern regarding an intersection or a right-of-away, please submit an e-mail and it will be noted.Thank you for your communication.

Holiday Note

The homeowner association has received correspondence of some cars being broken into, not entirely in Valencia, but surrounding communities as well. Please be advised, the HOA has spoken with the local authorities and they recommend making sure your valuables are brought inside and your vehicles are locked up if not parked in the garage.

This time of year the police are extremely busy, but please don’t hesitate to call 911 if you observe any suspicious activity. The hours in which the cars are being broken into are between 10pm and 5am. It is recommended to communicate with your surrounding neighbors so they are in the loop.

In addition to calling the authorities, please notify the HOA so we can keep the information documented as well.

Valencia in the Park

I would like to invite you to join me at the 2010 Valencia Home Owners Association Information and Social Event on October 14th, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. The gathering will take place at Park Central, located in Valencia. The purpose of the event is to have the opportunity for the community to meet and greet one another. I will also have community information for you to pick up. You may come and go as you please or stick around to ask questions if you like. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.

Please note, if the weather elements interfere with our event, we will move to the Ideal Homes Infinity Model located on the east side of the community at 2200 NW 182nd Street.

I just wanted to post a few things that I would like to share with you.

1. HOA Dues: Please attempt to pay your HOA dues as soon as possible.

2. The May Entrance Pond: The HOA has worked with Ponds Rx in 2009 in keeping our ponds clean. Ponds Rx treated the May entrance pond last year, but the shallow depth made it impossible to completelty remedy the situation.

The new plan is to make it deeper. Ponds Rx has a system in place to naturally make the pond deeper so when treated, it will remain clean and clear.

3. Parking on Andalucía: The HOA has received a couple of phone calls about parking near Park Central on Andalucía. If you use the park for multi-player sports and invite guest, please park on the south side of the street and try to keep the other side open. This will help the flow of traffic.

4. Mowing Season: The mowing season has arrived. Please spread the word that Valencia has a standard when it comes to mowing. That is, mow. We hope that each homeowner will accept the standard and will stay on top of the mowing.

5. Holiday Decorations: If you haven’t already done so, please make an effort to remove your Fall/Winter holiday decorations.

Join us on April 16th for the 2009 Valencia HOA meeting at Westfield Elementary School, located south of Valencia off Penn. The meeting will kick off at 6:30 pm. We will cover updated information regarding Valencia, provide you with the low down on the rules and regualations of the covenants and restrictions, and take a close look at the financials.

Though this meeting’s intent is to be informational, it’s also for each of you to have a chance to meet one another. You are welcome to arrive early or stay late to get a chance to meet some of your neighbors.
